Thurs, May 5 - seeing Jess Weiner speak at my work. She was very inspiring!
Fri, May 6 - quality time with my friend Ryan! I love when Ryan comes to town - not only do I get to see her, but we also get to eat a Bloomin' Onion at the Outback. :)
Sat, May 7 - Mike's tattoo!
Sun, May 8 - my Mom came to town for Mother's Day! We went to the ballet (we saw Amadeus and the Black Swam) and spent some time browsing at Ikea.
Mon, May 9 - I served on someone's master's committee.
Thurs, May 12 - my follow-up doctor's appointment (summarized here)

Sat, May 14 -I got invited to see Next to Normal at the Ordway. It was a phenomenal show! I highly recommend seeing it if you ever the chance.
Sun, May 15 -my biweekly walk with my friend Dotty, then I volunteered at the Children First ice cream social in the afternoon (I was representing the Friends of the SLP Library).
Tues, May 17 - volunteering at the Library, setting up for our semi-annual Friends' book sale.
Fri, May 20 - drive to Appleton to visit my parents. We stopped for fresh cheese curds on the way - I highly recommend the curds in Curtiss, WI! Once we arrived in Appleton, my parents took us out for Mike's birthday at this great brewpub. Yum! Check it out if you're ever in the area.
Sat, May 21 - we did a lot of relaxing at my parents' house, then went to the Timber Rattlers game in the evening. Minor league baseball is fun (and much cheaper than MLB!). They sold both fresh and fried cheese curds at the game :)
Sun, May 22 - the long drive back to Minneapolis. We stopped for the worst Mexican food I've had in my life (email me if you want the location in rural WI that I would advise you to stay away from!), then saw the tornado forming just before it touched down in North Minneapolis.
Mon, May 23 - another Twins game, this time for Mike's birthday! I'll write a separate blog post about the game (I took a lot of pictures!).
Thurs, May 26 - Mike's stepdad's retirement party! We, unfortunately, misread the invitation and thought it was an open house. Nope, it was a seated dinner. When we tried to sneak in after the welcome prayer (he's retiring from a Catholic school), the emcee literally said he'd take a pause for us stragglers to find our seats! Oops. The rest of the party was fun. :)
Fri, May 27 - our first appointment with the Reproductive Endocrinologist! I'll also write a separate blog post about this one (I have a lot to say!). Afterward we met up with Anne for her birthday dinner at Gasthof. I nearly lost my voice from shouting "Oy! Oy! Oy!" in response to every "Tikka Takka Tikka Takka" that got called out. Whew!
Sat, May 28 - Book club! We did some hiking (in the rain) at Afton State Park, then had a delicious dinner at Current. Another restaurant I'd highly recommend if you're in the Afton area!
Sun, May 29 - Today was mahjong day!
Tomorrow my friend Megan and I are slated to see Bridesmaids at the fancy theatre by my house.
Whew! No wonder the month went by so quickly. Since I'm tired just reading the above list, it makes sense that I've been literally tired for weeks! It will be nice to sleep in tomorrow and take it easy :)
