weekend project

I was on a deadline to get this done, and cranked it out out over the weekend. Wow! I bought the fabric Friday night, started cutting around 2pm on Saturday, went to bed around 9:30pm, then sewed again from ten to six on Sunday. I still can't believe I got it all done in less than 16 hours. Doing everything by machine makes the process so much faster!

I really like how the colors turned out compared to the original design:

As I've said before, picking out the fabric is the most fun of the entire project! (BTW, in case you missed it last summer, I did a 9-part mini-series on the steps of making a quilt. They are all in reverse order through this link.)

I have two other quilts that I'm working on, and hopefully I can finish those up in the next few weeks... (One is supposed to be a Christmas present, so I HAVE to get that one done soon!)

Oh, and in case you're interested and missed it before, here are links (one and two and three) to previous quilts I've made. I think I'm getting better with practice, if I do say so myself :)
