running update (August)

Mon 9/2 - I didn't run today, but I did research alternative names for the Half Marathon. I'm totally embracing "Pikermi." (See also here.)

Tues 8/3 - I've had enough of this humidity!

Sat 8/7/10 - My first Pikermi!

Wed 8/11/10 - It has been so hot and humid since last Saturday that there's been no chance of running until this morning. I got to try out my new running shoes and my new running tank top. Fun!

Sat 8/28 - After backpacking 8/14-8/20, my knees desperately needed some down time. But I got back out there again today and it wasn't too bad. (I kind of find it hard to believe that I just described a 6-mile run as "not too bad.")

Tues 8/31 - Remember back when my world was rocked by my iPod stopwatch? Now it's even more rocked - I just downloaded this app for my phone. It not only measures time but also distance!! I'm a little nervous about the bad reviews it's gotten, but so far it's been a great $3 gamble. I LOVE it!!
