Yesterday was such a great day!
1. I took the cats to the vet. They got rave reviews for their health! The vet said she wished that all cats were as happy and healthy as ours :)
2. I got a haircut. Nothing fancy, just tidying up my current 'do. But it's always a treat to get my hair done :)
3. Most importantly for making today a great day, Mike finished his prelims!!! I'm so proud of him. We went out to Spoonriver to celebrate and it was amazing! Now that Mike is vegetarian it's been hard for him to find tasty food that's also meat-free - a lot of restaurants will have one vegetarian special, and that meal might just be the regular entree but without the meat. Blech! Spoonriver, however, specializes in yummy vegetarian foods (and they also have "happy meats" as well). It was delicious! We shared their Quesadillas with roasted vegetable-squash spread, amish cheddar and chili-mango salsa as an appetizer. Mike's meal was the Yellow Curry with Tofu vegetarian special, and my meal was the Winter Veggies casserole vegetarian special. Yum! Then we split a flourless chocolate cake with passionfruit glaze and coconut sorbet for dessert. It was divine!
