After a bit of a scare this morning (Mac had a slight reaction to his vaccines yesterday - but he's totally fine now!), the day turned out great! Mike got to brew all day, and I got to clean the house a bit, start organizing for my trip to Yellowstone next week, and get some fun reading done. I even got to run outside today!
To top it all off, we had a yummy chocolate tasting:
Three different types of delicious Rogue chocolate. Wunderbar! (Dara Moskowitz has a great story about the chocolatier here. I can't say enough superlatives about this amazing chocolate. Serious - just buy some now! It's expensive, but better than any other chocolate you've ever tasted in your life. Seriously.)
Furthermore, in the afternoon I got to try out my new snowshoes! We just walked around the backyard a few times, but it was so much fun! I'm actually thinking that it wouldn't be so bad if we got some more snow now because it would mean getting to snowshoe somewhere fun in my very own snowshoes! (I know, I should be careful what I wish for!)
Then, as if the day couldn't get any better, Mike decided to celebrate the "heat wave" by having a bonfire. (Yes, he's crazy. And since I'm a psychologist, I can say that with some authority.) Not to be left out, I used to opportunity to practice winter photography, at night, with a tripod. I think I'm ready for Yellowstone!
crazy men:
a little out of focus, but I like the spark trail in the next one:
aren't the moon craters cool?!
Hope you're also having a great weekend!
