Sat 4/2 - Well, after being bed-bound for a few days, only getting my appetite back on Thursday, and only moving without pain as of yesterday, I'm pretty proud that I even got out there at all today. I certainly didn't do the 7 miles called for in my half marathon training plan, but I can start working back up again...
Time: 25 min
Distance: 2.11 mi
Avg Pace: 11:54 min/mi (I'm switching from speed to pace from now on, in the hopes that it will be more rewarding, since pace changes are easier to see than speed changes)
Cumulative distance: 57.70 mi
Wed 4/6 - I'm so glad it's finally spring!!!
Time: 46 min
Distance: 3.85 mi
Avg Pace: 12.0 min/mi
Cumulative distance: 61.55 mi
Sat 4/9 - My first ever solo long run. I did pretty well! I love that my new Garmin not only measures heart rate and distance, but also has a built-in interval timer. Today I did 8+2s, which was pretty nice.
Time: 1:11:51 min
Distance: 6.28 mi
Avg Pace: 11:26 min/mi (I ran my first 8min running segment at 10:24!!)
Cumulative distance: 67.83 mi
Tues 4/12 - My Garmin was all f'ed up this morning. What I did NOT do was run 7.49 miles in 28:23 (3:47/mi!) in a straight line across fields from Millersburg to Lonsdale, while simultaneously gathering 46,929 feet in elevation gain. Maybe it was a bad idea to try .25mi speed intervals. I hope it's fixed when I try it again tomorrow.
Time: 28:23 min
Distance: 2.5 mi (?)
Avg Pace: ? min/mi
Cumulative distance: 70.33 mi
Wed 4/13 - Luckily my Garmin worked this morning! I didn't try anything fancy (like distance intervals) and it seemed to be right on target. Whew!
Time: 28:33 min
Distance: 2.49 m
Avg Pace: 11:28 min/mi
Cumulative distance: 72.82 mi
Sat 4/16 - My second solo long run. It started off okay, but then kind of stunk it up. Not sure if this was because of the qualities of the run itself (cold and windy and loooong) of because of the qualities of me personally (I had lots of pizza for dinner last night, then 2.5 glasses of Riesling, only got 6.5 hours of sleep, and ate leftover puppy chow and cheese/crackers for breakfast). Well, at least I did it, even if it wasn't pretty. The redeeming qualities were definitely the Osprey and the American Coots that I saw during the run. (I'm trying to learn to identify birds - this book is super helpful!)
Time: 1:29.00 min
Distance: 7.41 mi
Avg Pace: 12:00 min/mi
Cumulative distance: 80.23 mi
Sat 4/23 - Yes, it's been a week since my last run. My body was totally screwed up from the ruptured ovarian cyst and/or the HSG, so I took it really easy this week and just focused on yoga. Today I got back out there again, despite being sore (for no known reason), tired, and grumpy. Blech! Universe, I need some sunshine, please!
Time: 1:28.00 min
Distance: 7.33 mi
Avg Pace: 12:01 min/mi
Cumulative distance: 87.56 mi
Thurs 4/28 - I tried to run in Miami while I was there for a conference, but it was miserable! Even at 7am, the heat and humidity were awful. Let's not talk about how many walk breaks I took.
Time: 31 min
Distance: 2.50 mi
Avg Pace: 12:25 min/mi
Cumulative distance: 90.06 mi

Accountable, schurmountable....what impresses me is the number of times you run! Are you kidding me?
