I saved up all my Christmas money (plus some from my "Steph account") and splurged on a Garmin Forerunner. It's AWESOME. A GPS plus heartrate monitor all in one. I'm madly in love. Here it is, along with my iPod (another running staple):

You can see not only the exact route I took, but also see my pace (slow, but in my defense I was running on snow) and how that pace varied throughout the entire workout! So you can see the two short walk breaks I took, plus the effect those walk breaks had on my heart rate!!
(I hope the italics and exclamation points are adequately conveying my excitement.)
So cool, right?!? It really makes me eager for spring so I can start doing all my runs outside again...
