Book Club winter getaway

A couple months ago Jess, a member of my bookclub, found a great deal on a king suite at Whitefish Lodge in Cross Lake, MN. Luckily there were exactly four of us in the bookclub that were able to make it for the dates Jess reserved. After a bit of a detour getting up there (somehow we missed our turnoff in Garrison and didn't realize it for over an hour...), we had a fabulously relaxing weekend.

Here was the room:

We did Mary Kay Satin Hands...

...painted our nails, and did some sort of fun mud mask:

We played lots of mahjong...

...did some snowshoeing...

...and did a lot of relaxing - swimming, sitting in the sauna, reading by the fireplace, etc.
