our new roof

As I'm sure you're all aware, Mike's last day at work was July 10. He then spent last week up in Quetico (aka the Canadian Boundary Waters). Then earlier this week he re-roofed our house!

Before: (Mike just got on the roof and is just starting to tear off old shingles)


During: (end of day 1. At this point the bedroom roof - outside this photo - is done, but there are still old shingles above the rest of the house)

Doesn't it look great?! I love the color and texture of the new shingles. Thank you, Mike!!

Special thanks also to step-brother Jason (shown in photo 2, above) and step-dad Mike for all the hard work they did as well. And thanks to our insurance company for cutting us the check (we had hail damage) in order to pay for the project. :)
