I'm sure you've all heard me rave about how much I love my job, and now it's only going to get better! After about two years of talks and planning, we're finally scheduled to move into our new office building on Monday morning. The last couple weeks have been a mess of packing everything up - yesterday was particularly sad because all the art was off the walls, the furniture had labels for the new space, and *everything* was boxed up. I snuck into the new space, though, and it's beautiful. I'm so excited for Monday morning!
But the extra bonus to this story is that I got a free day of PTO today, because they wanted all the staff out of the way while the movers did their work. Woo-hoo! So I got to:
-sleep in
-make cheesy bread
-make cranberry walnut bread
-make stuffed shells
-clean the linen closet
-shave my legs
-walk to the post office to mail some letters and a package
-clean the kitchen
-start reading a new book
-watch an episode of Downton Abbey with Mike
What a wonderful day! Thank you, amazing workplace of mine, for the free PTO!

I tried to join,and it had the nerve to tell me I'm on a waiting list. Like I'm not cool enough to get into their exclusive club. Meh.
